     Brian’s primary role as an Air Force & DoD Senior Leader, has been that of a U-2 spy plane pilot and commander. In his most recent role, Brian was assigned at the National Security Agency for United States Cyber Command.  There, he led 75 personnel and was responsible for coordinating, synchronizing, and de-conflicting the plans & actions required to conduct global offensive cyber operations as well as cyber defense operations across the DoD’s 5 million end points and 3 million users.  This included leading the Secretary of Defense’s cybersecurity strategy execution, configuration, and standardization overhaul of of the Department of Defense Information Network, developing the benchmark Joint Cyber Command & Control, and leading the development of Department of Defense’s offensive cyber infrastructure, accesses, payloads, and capabilities for the conduct of network and cryptologic warfare at the Global level. He also served as the principal military advisor to the Commander USCYBERCOM/Director National Security Agency on steady-state, combat and contingency operations for cyber targeting, capability effectiveness, and vulnerability equities. As a senior leader in DoD cyberspace operations, Brian achieved extraordinary results, established enduring government-wide relationships, and defined the future while advancing DoD cyber operations to accomplishments beyond expectation.  Brian understands, has experienced, and fought the strategic threats facing our country and their potential impact on critical infrastructure like our power grid and our water supply.

     From numerous additional assignments he has accumulated a provenance and reputation for outstanding leadership performance in Cyber, Air, Aerospace, and Intelligence operations. Spanning the tactical through strategic, Including 110,000 person, multi-functional organizations, $10.2 billion dollar budgets, and geographic responsibility of 1.2 million square nautical miles.

     Story-telling, practical experience, and failing fast have been Brian’s best teachers. However, he does hold a Masters Certificate in Program Management from Villanova University, a Masters of Human Relations from Oklahoma University, numerous National Security Agency cryptologic & cyber operations course certificates, and is a graduate of the National Defense University Executive Leadership Course where he has returned as a guest lecturer on Cyberspace operations and policy.

    Brian has been awarded numerous annual aviation and ground Air Force, military, and civilian awards for the impact he has made. Additionally during his career, he was consistently ranked at the top amongst his peers for his distinguished personal & professional performance. Including top-honors as flying squadron commander for his combat-command tenure of the Nation’s largest and busiest airborne intelligence squadron. He is an Air Force command pilot with 3,500 flying hours in the KC-135, T-37, F-16, T-38, U-2R and U-2ST, including 500 combat hours in South West Asia.
